Low Tea: A New Ritual Before the Curtain Rises

At Parlour on 10th, we love traditions. We just do not believe they have to stay frozen in time.

Everyone knows high tea. Tiered trays. Afternoon light. Scones and conversation.

But what happens when the sun starts to lower, the galleries begin to glow, and Sacramento’s arts scene starts heading toward a performance, a concert, an opening, or a night downtown?

We think that deserves its own ritual.

Introducing Low Tea.

Served Fridays and Saturdays at 5 PM, Low Tea will be our playful, slightly mysterious evening cousin to traditional tea service—designed for artists, dreamers, theater lovers, and anyone who believes the hours before an event can be just as magical as the event itself.

Not dinner. Not happy hour. Something in between. A pause before the curtain rises.

What is Low Tea?

Low Tea was historically served on lower lounge tables rather than dining tables—more social than formal, more salon than supper.

Our version borrows that spirit and gives it a Parlour twist.

Expect tea. Small bites. Art. Conversation. Curious spaces. Perhaps a little mischief.

Because nights deserve rituals too.

Come curious. Leave delighted.
